There Are Better Ways to Approach Things

Said to Skippy [laughingly]:  You are a screaming bitch sometimes, you know that?

Skippy[deadpan]:  Yeah.  It is pretty much what gets me through my day.

~
While in Target today:

A casual acquaintance:  Hello there.

Skippy:  Hey.  How are you? How are the kids?

A casual acquaintance:  Oh fine, fine. [Pointing]  Look at you!  You have really lost a lot of weight.  Why are you so thin?

Skippy: [gaping fish mouth] Uh. um.

Pooldad: [throwing his arm around me]  It's all the great sex we're having.  Come on Skip, lotsa' shopping to finish.  You'll excuse us?

And people wonder why ......

Maybe she didn't mean to sound so insensitive ........... Pool Dad is one sharp dude, though!
Reminds me of a story (but, then, everything does when you get to be my age). We were vacationing with our kids and each of our girls brought along friends. Jill was 14, in a bikini. Standing in line for a water ride of some sort, she and her friend were behind her dad and me. A young man approached them and started talking to them, then said crudely, "hey you wanna go f***?" Jill didn't skip a beat and replied sweetly, "oh, I don't know if I can....... but we could ask my dad........he is right there." He left.

Gotta love PoolDad!

It sounds like it didn't come out the way she meant it...or that she never really meant to say it out loud. She was likely shocked - and concerned - maybe doesn't figure anorexia would be your thing so why? She's probably kicking her own ass over it.

vert word: reiti....and you said to the stupid woman, reiti or not here I spit.
Great save by Pooldad by the way. Gotta love a man who protects his woman.....or the other woman so his woman doesn't end up in jail.
