When You Know Your Child Has Awesome Friends Part Deux

Today was Squirrel's 18th Birthday
Her friend Anna brought her this cake today.
Then the "Flutes" from HS showed up with flowers......
...and a poster made just for Squirrel.
Her Dad and I are trying hard not to tear up.  Wallene is holding fast but being moody because I don't think even she knows what to do without Squirrel.

I am pretty confident that "We done good" - But then again we ARE sitting here singing:

"Tah Rah, rah rah boom dee A, I'll take your pants away.  I don't care what you say.  You're naked anyway"

or

"Tah Rah, rah, rah boom dee A, I don't care what you say, tomorrow is Sun-day, JMU is that-a-way."

Yeah, we're loopy.  Welcome to our world.

Thank goodness I wasn't drinking coffee when I read the song lyrics--coffee out the nose, anyone? Too funny.

I know today is going to be rough for all of you--virtual hugs to everyone! Wishing the Squirrel a very successful first year in college. Love you!

I never got emotional when my kids went away. Don't know why. I'm just not that kind of Mom I guess. My own mother practically shoved me out the door.
