Sunday Visits

This is Pooldad's 98 year old Grandmother. We call her Non [for Grandma] and the children call her Biz [pronounced "Bees" - for Great Grandma] - It's an Italian thing. I think. :)

We have been trying to visit her every Sunday since she moved into her new home. This pic' is from two weeks ago. Pooldad and Wallene are visiting today [Squirrel is in RI - I am at home trying not to infect anyone with poison ivy :) ].

Non is one of the most favorite people in my life. She is smart, sharp, funny and very no non sense. I met her shortly after my own Grandma had passed away and she filled the huge void that was left after her death. I wasn't only lucky to find Pooldad and my beloved in-laws, but my children and I have shared in the added bonus of Non for 15 years.

We love you Biz-Non! Go Braves!

Lucky you! I never knew any of my grandparents and it was't because they were dead.

My Mom's mom had died before I was born. My other grandmother only spoke spanish, I only spoke english, understood some spanish phrases at the time. Anyway, never had that relationship with any older woman until my friend Mildred came into my life. She is 87, a kick in the pants and a gift. So I sorta understand about Non.
I sure hope your PI goes away soon and that you are doing better.
vert word is uncent..and so the penny just sat in the junk drawer not being spent...just an uncent, poor little thang.

that's awesome! i never had the privilege of having a close relationship with a grandparent, so i've really tried to do that with my own grandkids (and my step-grands, where possible). when i'm gone, i'd like for them to be able to look back and say "we had a great time doing..."

word vert: cartrwoo
i like to watch a cartrwoo every now and then.
