No, Really, I'm Not a Wannabe

My apologies to Ms. Guisewite
She is the author and owner of the "Cathy " comic strip.
To view an example of Ms. Guisewite's wonderful work you can go here.  This strip ran for 34 years in over 1,400 papers. [I think only in the US.]
~
I don't aspire to publish my silly comics anywhere but here. They came about because of a broken keyboard and the fact that they entertain my family.

My family.  The reason I write this blog in the first place.  Having Tadpoles as friends is just a wonderful, added bonus that I never expected.  Next to my family y'all bring a lot of joy and sunshine into an otherwise limited, very shortened kind of life.

If I bore you or you find what I write and draw mediocre, by all means, take me off your blog roll and don't read me.  It won't hurt my feelings.  I promise.

Hope y'all are having a great Monday and I hope you enjoy the comic. :)

With greatness comes trolls, criticism and jealousy.

You've made it!

Aren't we all mediocre now and then? Even those who complain about the mediocrity of blogs.

Hi Skippy. Hope you're okay. That post sounds a bit, I can't quite put my finger on what I'm looking for - reflective isn't the right word. Oh, what am I blathering on about! Just hope that you're okay. I can't ever imagine anyone ever wanting to delete YOU from their blog roll. I always look forward to reading your posts my friend. Take care, and sending you hugs from across the pond.

Ditto what Jeannie said.

Leo and I look forward to your comic strips.

The unfortunate thing about having trolls on the internet is that an alliance of mythological creatures are nogotiating with the ACLU to file a class action defamation suit. (Which is Chrisspeak for, "Calling an idiot like that a troll is demeaning to real trolls.")

You're not a wannabe girl, you're an original! I love your blog and your comics, they bring a smile to my face every time. As for deleting you, wtf? I can't imagine not reading what you write. In the words of my very wise daughter....if you don't like it, then don't look :)

Did someone make a nasty comment? If that is the case I have a lot I could say about how low and unbecoming that is, but instead I will attempt to assure you that I love your blog and thoroughly enjoy your comics. I used to do this for my family when the boys were young and I admittedly used For Better or Worse as my guide.

Keep on keepin' on Skippy!

First off, you're no wannabe. You're a Skippy, and I personally like your comics more than I ever did the "Cathy" comics. So, there! As for "mediocre?" No way. You embrace your life and everyone in it with your whole heart. I call that "living large," and your attitude is downright infectious. I don't know what that person said to you, but just flick her words off.

How sad that there are people out in blog-land who are so miserable that they feel they have to write things to bring others down to their miserable level.

Your cartoons make me smile--it's like being a fly on the wall in your house. So stop focusing on the one idiot and remember all of us who truly adore you.

word vert: foress. Because sometimes you can't see the foress for the trees.
