193 Days Until. . .

CHRISTMAS!
~
Woohoo!
~
Please don't hate.
~
I only bring this up because it felt like Christmas season to me today. I know, I know - it is 90 degrees and it IS June - but. . .
~
I spent all day addressing announcements for Squirrel's graduation and I have been baking, baking, baking. Since all the people on our address list are also on our Christmas card list it seemed almost like I was doing it for Christmas. Then with the cookies, muffins and brownies - well...yep! Christmas. Oh and there is a ham in the oven. The smells...mmmmm. Christmas!!
~
I am telling you tadpoles - the stars aligned to trick me into wanting to put up the dang tree and pull out a few snowmen.
~
But...I will be patient.
~
Because 193 days isn't too long to wait, is it?

I heart Linda in NM.

What would be so bad about a little mini-tree somewhere nearby to lift your spirits and make you smile? Little teeny snowmen? Come on, you know you want to.

word vert: shinli. Skippy's tree has shinli little ornaments on it.

I love Christmas too & really it isn't too early to think about it- especially if you make gives (I started knitting scarves etc.)Plus this is the time of year to get GREAT bargains on winter clothes- because the stores want to get rid of anything left- you can really get some GREAT bargains!!!

I knew a lady once who kept a Christmas tree up and decorated in her basement rec room. In fact, I think she had the whole room decorated for Christmas. Once a week, she would put on Christmas music and clean down there and have a little mini Christmas in the middle of summer.

I love Christmas, too, but only because it's temporary. I could never live with that kitschy stuff in my house year 'round. And absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I like the idea of smelling Christmas cookies year 'round, though.

Hi Baby, I think you could change your blog title to "I BAKE Soap". I hate heat too. Its even worse when u r baking. I can recommend slushies (snow cones). Your own little bit of snow, with flavoring on it! Low sodium, too!!!
