I take such awful pics, but this will give you an idea of my
"Chili Cheese Dog Ravioli"
See the hot dog bits, diced onion and chili sauce peeking out?
Now the family is scheming to buy me a pasta machine BEFORE my birthday for ease in preparation. I rolled the dough out, by hand, to 1/16th of an inch. I couldn't even imagine how much quicker it would be to have a little contraption to do it for me! I'll take it. :)And you didn't think I forgot about dessert did you? Pshhhhh!
"Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches"
The cookies taste just like Reese Peanut Butter cups. YUM!
I actually had a fresh fruit smoothie for my dinner/dessert.
It was so refreshing in this heat and filling too.
This had bananas, raspberries, strawberries, blue berries, oj and strawberry yogurt.
I tried to light up the house as best I could for her.
It would be romantic looking if we hadn't been so frantic for her to get home safely. All's well in the end. :D
By request I will post the recipe for the pasta recipe tomorrow. As I said - so easy. Well, except for the fact I broke my rolling pin. Ooops. It's marble and the wooden handle cracked. Emergency duct tape to the rescue!
Hope y'all had a great Fourth of July. Looks as tho' it should be cooling off soon. Just in time for vacation! Yippeeee!
See ya' on the flipside Tadpoles.

OMG you should do the candles on the step all the time. It looks gorgeous :)
You will love Love LOVE a pasta maker. It's fun even :)
Your ravioli's looks delicious, and the desserts...yummmmmm!
Your steps looks very inviting with all the candles lit.
Have a great day my friend.
Big hugs
Eva
Hi Skippy! Oh, I love the way you had the steps all lit up like that. You really are so sweet and thoughtful my friend! I bet you were so relieved when poor Squirrel finally arrived home! Bless. A pasta machine - wow! There'll be no stopping you then, but I am still so impressed that you actually made that ravioli yourself. Bet the family were so surprised! Glad you all enjoyed the meal though. That dessert looks so scrummy as well. You certainly seem to eat very well in your house! Hugs to you x
I have never in my life made my own pasta. But now, seeing yours and reading how yummy that meal was, makes me want to put "make pasta" on my Bucket List.
Love the candles - what a great Mom!
When you said so, I just remembered that I have the pasta attachment for my mixer! The kids got me the mixer and Gary the attachment so I could make my own rice noodles. I wonder if rice noodle ravioli would be any good. hmmm
I've been thinking of the pasta contraption for my kitchenaid mixer. I wonder if you're the first person in the world to fill ravioli with chili-cheese dog mixture. I've heard of chili mac, but never this!
It was hot here yesterday. My car said 108 and I believe it. I think I'd have settled only for that refreshing looking smoothy! I still haven't gotten the hang of making them. Perhaps you'll share the recipe.
Ravioli looks yummy! The way to a man's heart...
when is your birthday????????????
Kudos to you for being able to keep the family out of the kitchen. Everything looks soooo yummy!
Geez woman, what's with all the porn??? Yesterday had Pooldad giving you a proposition and you had "the look" and now we have food porn! Lol!!
I have to make sure hubby isn't reading over my shoulder when I visit here. I'd rather have the look than cook though. Maybe I'll just leave that post open.....
I hand made ravioli back when I was in my late teens. I remember rolling the dough out thin, and then it would snap back as if it was elastic! Delicious, but time consuming and a lotta work. The picture makes me hungry for ravioli!
