Today starts summer break and I now have my "partner in crime" home with me for the next two months. :Skippyhappydance:
2003 Kindergarten |
I know we all say "It seems like just yesterday...." but it really does!
I think it is terribly unfair. They should stay little forever. Dontcha' think?
It is a rainy, stormy morning and I have no idea why I am awake at 6 am when I can sleep in [no lunches to make, no one to get off to the bus - heck, Wallene won't be getting up for hours] but that is okay - it is still going to be a great day Tadpoles. :D
Hope it is for y'all too!

I can feel your happiness and excitement in every word. I cant sleep in either, even when i have no reason to get up
YAY for summer vacation..wow high school? Hard to believe!!
What a super photo of Wallene when she was in Kindergarten. I agree with Mynx, we can feel your happiness with having your daughter home with you for the Summer. Yay! Woop Woop!! Where do the years go? My first daughter will be 40 on Sunday and I find it all quite frightening! I want the time to go much slower. Have a lovely weekend dear friend.
summer hols - even the rain doesn't bother you too much if you don't need to go out in it!!
I love the summer hols with the kids. Lots of lie ins and days out....yipee! But yes, I too wish that time would stand still for just a moment so that I can drink in the moment and saviour it :)
the end of school was always one of my favorite days.
They grow up so fast!
Sometimes the rate of growth of our kids seems to me like a time warp. You blink and it's gone.
Seems the start of something good, enjoy.
yay! i'm sure you'll have a wonderful summer. i still remember when my "baby" started high school. heck, i remember when all of them did.
have a good weekend!
Congratulations on your daughter's huge milestone. You're right; it would be nice if we could keep them little forever. Now it's my grandchildren who are growing up much too quickly. But one wonderful thing about having grown children is the realization that you really really LIKE them as grown-up people. Not just because they are your offspring, but because they're wonderful human beings ... and you enjoy spending time with them as friends. That is a truly wonderful feeling.
Hope Wallene has a happy break. I know she'll like high school if she's in the band!

They grow up so fast I still find it hard to knowing that my babies have babies of their own.........
I wish your enthusiasm was contagious! I am dreading summer break, and if we don't start getting sun and heat in this place, you might see a report of me on the news: Mother runs away from home with nothing but flip flops and straw hat. News at 11!
