'Cause Taxes Bring Up Memories

I don't mind so much doing taxes.
The important part to doing taxes [now] is that Squirrel's financial aid and scholarships are based on them.

Sigh.

While doing our taxes and FAFSA yesterday I felt a bit nostalgic.

I discovered this post - and sent it off to Squirrel at college.

I hope you enjoy it.  I miss her so, so much.

Baby Please Don't Go

They don't call it a "love seat" for nuthin'

That really is a beautiful photo. I'm sure you must miss Squirrel terribly, and I'm sure she misses her mum too! It works both ways. When will she be coming home again - presumably the Easter holidays? Try not to feel too sad Skippy.

Your post was so sweet.I can't imagine what it must feel like...yet.
I'm sad just thinking about it. I had a hard enough time just
sending my youngest off to Kindergarten this year! Why does time go by so fast?!

that is a cute picture of squirrel and doggie.

i remember when amy left for the navy. i thought i was going to lose my mind. this was the girl who - no matter what time of day her class started her senior year (which, by the 2nd semester, was 11:10 in the morning) was late. Every night the school computer would call to tell us "this is pricipal whoever calling to let you know your son or daughter was later for school today." Every. Day. She. Was. Late. For. Class. We lived a whopping 1 mile away from school. Did I think she could make it at boot camp? Quite frankly - I had my concerns. She sure proved us wrong (post for another day).

Ahhhh.

They go away but these days, they come back again, and again...don't despair.

My comment ended up on the original post I think. Either way, this was great and she's doing well at school because of you. She is gorgeous. What a smile.

I think back to 1991 when my middle child went off to Germany as an exchange student for a year. We had the most helpless feeling with her so far away. At least we could talk to her on the phone.

What a great post. I'm not looking forward to those days. I've still got 8 years or so but I know they are coming.

Hard to let them go, I know! Love the picture. We take possession of Zeke tomorrow and I have spent the day getting the house ready for a tall dog with a long tail. Tomorrow should be interesting!

Great picture. But if she's a squirrel, I'd think that big hound dog on her would have chased up a tree....hardee har har...yes, I do amuse myself, thanks for asking! Stop feeling sentimental. I can send you my egg-grandbabies to care for, you know to "fill the void"...or bake a cake. Whatever.

Adoptive mother of mine, I totally understand what you're going through...I need to get my next set of Fafsa's in like ASAP. Gotta get my dad on that.

But one thing that I wish that mothers in general (because I'm not a mom yet I guess I'm alright to say this) but we need to get out there to grow up.

As it is I'm going to be living at home until at least after my Bachelors and I'm going to a University about an hour away and commuting, but then after I have no idea.

I want to get a job and get out, but right now with school that isn't an option. It's not that I don't love my family, I'm ready for a change.
