hmmm... that's a stumper. Rubbing it on something like carpet would work or see if rubbing your ankle, higher up the nerve network, would eliminate the sensation? Dunno.
it sucks during work hours too because you have to try to slip unobtrusively out of your shoe and then try to scratch it on some part of your desk or chair bottom without causing the ticklies.......... just did the same darn thing!

I have to agree with Qandlequeen- I'd try rubbing it on a rug or maybe a step in your house
