I Just Don't KNOW

I have a calendar that I write down one thing a day, for the month, that I would like to accomplish. Fun stuff, chores, reminders. .  .

Simple stuff, but it helps me to have an ongoing list.

It does help except, it seems, when I abbreviate the task.  [Those calendar blocks are small, let me tell you! You have to abbreviate.]

For example:

On January 1st I dutifully filled in all thirty one days and have been checking off each day as I complete it.

This morning I looked at the calendar and imagine how perplexed I was to see I had written "Organize ppnk" for today.

Huh?  What in the world is "ppnk" and why does it need organizing?  This would make a whole heck of a lot more sense had I been on pain meds the day I wrote the list - but, I swear, I wasn't.

I just [obviously] have a very poor memory.

I will send 5 dollars CAN [yes, Canadian*] to the first person who can help me decipher what "ppnk" is.

'Cause hell if I know.

*You need not be Canadian to play.  I will still send you Canadian currency if you figure it out. :) Thanks!

Organize: party prank
prom picnik
protest of people not knowing
pantry poop 'n' klutter
panties pink
pumpernickle
pooldad's pnk (some tax forms?)

If it makes you feel any better, I do things like this all the time - but not in lists. I have hidden troves of wonderful things somewhere/everywhere. I remember planning to put X in a special safe spot I'm sure to remember when I need it.

I spent about an hour last night trying to find a plastic container of finishing nails that I put away just a couple weeks ago in a good spot I'd remember. In the kitchen. That's what I remembered. I did remember the "bad" spot they had been before I was so clever. Finally, I found the jar in the plastic storage tower I had wheeled out of the kitchen to make room for Christmas prep. Beware!

Hee Hee! You're obviously far too clever for your own good my little friend! I've been looking at it for the last ten minutes, but nothing obvious springs to mind. You must tell us when you remember what is was you were supposed to be organizing! I do think that a brilliant idea of yours though, to give yourself little tasks to do each day. I must try that, instead of sitting at this flipping laptop for most of the time!!!

Sorry ........ It must not be too pressing. Next month, don't abbreviate. Hey that can go on Feb 1--do not abbreviate.

Well, I thought about googling it, but since I don't think you run Pound Puppies 'N Kittens in Georgia, I struck out. Do you have a Pop Nook? If you do, can you tell us what it is?

Obviously you are planning to come here and help Poor Pitiful Nutty Knitty get my house (my whole life?) in order.

I am only 30 minutes from Windsor so we'll use the $5 for the toll to there for lunch. We'll have enough leftover for a bottled water and two straws.

Would you rather go by bridge or tunnel? Do you have a passport, enhanced driver's license or will I have to hide you under something in the back seat and act surprised if customs finds you?

I am going to go write PAS on my calendar: Practice Acting Surprised. :D
