No, Yes, No, Yes, Yes

I haven't done one of these posts in a while.  I think, maybe a year...eek!

I thought it might time.

First off:
Don't touch my blanket.
I am cold.
NO:  It is cold here.  And it should be a rule that if it is going to be THIS cold then it ought to snow.  I am one of those people [and in a family] that does not wig out over snow.  One inch - twenty inches - three feet, we don't care.  Bring it on. But, c'mon - if we have to suffer the cold then give us something PRETTY to look at.

YES:  I have a nice warm house, with heat and bunch of clothing that keeps me toasty.  Plus, I have a heater in my bathroom.  If you need me later today I will probably be taking a nap in there.
I have been known to do  this.

NO:  I am sad.  Pooldad left today for his annual business trip.  It is the only time of year we are apart and it happens every year.  I hate it.  I miss him.  He will be back on Wednesday and I realize two days isn't that long in the scheme of things - but I am lonely without him.  I am thankful that he is fine [now] so I do count my blessings, but it doesn't make me miss him any less.

YES:  Wallene has Tuesday off from school.  Can we all say "YAY!"  She would've had today off too [boo] but they had to finish their exams from last week to complete their grades for this quarter.  I'll take one day over none.  If it would SNOW - I could get a few more, but one day is better than nothing. :D

YES:  Pooldad promised to take us to JMU this weekend to see Squirrel.  THAT is awesome too - I can't wait.  Since we changed her phone plan to unlimited talk she has been calling a lot more and I think she misses the family.  I know she just left a few weeks ago, but I miss her terribly and I need a hug.

That's all I got Tadpoles. Hope you all have the best Monday you can.  It is worth the effort!

I love that photo of your cute little dog poking out from under the blanket. Bless! Hope you're not too lonely for the next two nights with your soulmate away from you. Aaaaw! At least you have the weekend to look forward to, so that really is good news. I know that Squirrel will be as pleased to see you as you will be to see her! Have a good week over there.

i used to have a dog that would crawl under the blankets and then come back out and put her head on the pillow. when i left for work in the mornings, i'd make sure she was all set and then when ron got home later (he worked 3rd shift) she was waiting for him. she didn't even get down from the bed - she knew he'd be in shortly and she was all covered up snuggly waiting on him.

have a great day with wallene tomorrow and squirrel later this week.

We have the snow and it is nice to look at, but not so fun to shovel. I use my dogs to keep me warm! Have fun on your trip!

Ahhh. That's so sweet you miss Pooldad.

I used to miss Gary back when we were first married but he was away a LOT so I got pretty accustomed to having time on my own. Now I crave it. I LOVE when he leaves for a few days. Everything gets to be all about me. I can have pizza for supper! I can read ALL NIGHT in bed!!! No going out to the living room! Oh! the debauchery of it all!

Definitely need the unlimited if your babies are away.

We have cold and snow and all I can say is I'm hopeful for when the prognosticator leaves his dwelling next week. I'm hoping for an early spring. I shouldn't put all that hope on a stupid groundhog.

I agree with you one hundred percent. Only give me cold if there can be lovely white snow every other day or so to give the world a soft touch up of clean and crisp

Agreed. Snow is the only compensation for cold.

I remember my first winter in high school I waited for the bus on the sidewalk of the busiest street that connected three cities and it was cold. Wearing a long sleeve shirt, a sweatshirt and a full blown winter coat with gloves it was cold.

And being in Sunny Southern California there was no snow, just frost.

I love that dog's eyes in the photo. "Don't even THINK about taking my blanket." Ha!

I always try to cover up our dog, but he doesn't like it!

Thanks for your virtual hugs Skippy! :D

I want you to adopt me. I know I've already begged you for this, but your family (and the love you have for each other) is so wonderful. So, errr..I'm begging again.

...plus I could really benefit from the heated bathroom during family visits to you. Just sayin'.

I wish I could send some of our lovely 67degree weather your way and you could send us some cold. Sorry you have to deal with PD being gone. I hate it when the men have to leave. It just doesn't feel right!

Hope you have had a good week. We're keeping busy on this side of the states!

I wish I liked my family as much as you do yours. I wish mine would all go away on a trip. Without me. Not forever, you know. Just for, like a month...or two...definitely not three!
You're a great wife and mother.
