Amazingly enough we are leaving on time. Wow.
But without cookies for her. :( I found I had no vanilla to make her favorites and not creative enough to come up with something that uses maple extract. <----only flavoring I had.
Can someone remind me again why I even have maple extract in my pantry? It scares me.

Maple extract: good for maple icing
Also good to flavour sugar syrup for pancakes and such if you run out of real maple syrup or even table syrup.
I'll bet oatmeal cookies flavoured with maple would be good.
I may never run out of vanilla. I buy vast quantities on our way through Mexico. 500 ml bottles were stocking stuffers for the ladies this year. Too bad you don't live next door.
