My wonderful husband has been excavating the garage this past weekend - truly there is no other word - and here are some of the charms he has come across. You can begin your laughter at the second picture, continue onto the third but then...no laughing at my kids. :D 'Kay?
My Dad circa 1962. Isn't he so handsome? I miss him. |
My first job. Polyester rules baby! [I always smelled like a Big Mac after a shift. That material retains all smell . And please, dig the hat. Styling.] |
Wallene. Halloween. 2 months old. Pooldad and I took her to his work that evening [he was deejaying.] The one costume I did not make. I was busy nursing my lil' pumpkin. |
My Dad with Wallene. I think she is around 1 year old. She loved her Papa. He was a good Grandpa. |
Tee-man at two years old. His smile is still THAT sweet. |
Our princess, Dee. 4 years old. Those boots were made for walking. |
I started her at an early age cooking in the kitchen didn't I? |
Pooldad at his 40th birthday party in our backyard. My sister made the cake. :D |
Because I love her red hair. |
My first Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Love you Rudy. |
New Year's Eve [at home with the kids] 1998 We did it up right! [He still takes my breath away.] |
Melts my heart. |
Not found in the garage but sent along to us:
This actually is digital. Squirrel and her friends in the JMU Royal Dukes Marching Band. Aren't they gorgeous! Love them. |
Well? That is my little walk down memory lane.
Hope you enjoyed it.
Have a great Thursday!

word vert: prighth. When I'd get all huffy and smart-mouthed with my grandmother she'd say "and who asked you, Miss Prighth?" (priss)
Love them all!
I enjoyed it TREMENDOUSLY. I love looking at old pics, but you sharing yours is extra fun. :)
Fabulous photos! Were we ever that young? Holy Smokes! You were still lookin pretty darn good in 1998. (Not to say you aren't now - I just don't remember seeing a more recent picture) You almost inspire me to have a look in our photo boxes.
Awesome photos!
I love all of the photos, but there is something about that photo of you and Mrs. Smith. Beautiful.
This is too much fun. We should all post our wonderful pasts. This was a great peek into the Skippy Family. Thanks for sharin'. We'll, both you and ME, talk soon....I hope. The Olde Bagg
Love all these photos! I could get lost in old photos. Yours are priceless!
Hey! Yes melatonin is otc. Used to only be available at health stores but regular pharmacies here have it now too.

fantabulous pictures! love the stroll down memory lane. the last pic is quite nice, as well.
I love seeing older photos! A couple years ago, my mom and I went to visit her cousin and we ended up scanning in some old black and white photos.... one of my grandma (that my husband thought was me) and one of my grandfather and my mom when she was a young child. Photos are priceless :-)
<3 s how the fireplace is in the background of your mcd's pic and the one of you and your hubby :)
Such great pictures. Doesn't it just bring you right back to those moments? Thanks for sharing.
My first job was McDonald's too!
Good for you! I don't even know how to work my freaking scanner!
