This Promises to Be an Interesting Day

We were just issued a tornado warning for our area until 4 pm today.

Alrighty then.

Tornadoes are rare in our part of the US but we have seen a few in the last 4 decades.  They are usually small and outside of a couple of downed trees, a missing roof or two and sporadic power outages they don't cause loss of life or devastation like they do in the midwest.

It does look like it is going to be a pretty intense storm tho'.

Didn't we just get snow less than a week ago?

See ya' on the flipside Tadpoles.  And I don't mean that literally.

We get the odd tornado through here too. Well, not through my neighborhood but close by. I suppose there's some geographical reason - a trough or whatever that catches the wind through a certain area. Combined with the temperature changes that cause the funnels.

Life is always throwing a curve ball huh?

We get a gazillion of them here in Oklahoma (though I doubt you want to hear that right about now!) and I absolutely HATE them. Also the weather here is ridiculous. The kids missed two weeks of school for blizzards just two weeks ago and yesterday everyone was wearing shorts. The weather is alllll over the place here.

Stay safe!!!

We get tornados around here too.
I'm so bad....I get kinda excited about them. I don't really want to see one out side my house, but my hubby & I always joke that some day we're going to be those crazy people tracking them down!!
Hope you all stay safe!!!

You are getting the storm that ran through here last night. The winds were 70 mph and they howled through the night with claps of thunder. I guess the good part was that it moved through fast and the sun is shining today.
I am feeling so much better today. I think I may have an ulcer. I have a problem with dairy, so he who loves to run errands is off to get more maalox and soy milk for me.

I hate this time of year because you never know what you are going to get.

My daughters birthday is March 7 and there were some parties when I had to shovel six inches of snow for her friends to get in, and other times when I had water balloons because it was so warm!

If you, me and Bruce can sail the ocean blue to Australia, we can weather a storm here right? Seriously, everybody's weather is changing. Weird stuff going on up there in the atmosphere.
