Strun Grants and His 50 Year Old Wife

Do not live here.

However, Staples and AARP think they do.

We received two very interesting pieces of mail this evening. hee

First up:  My husband's Staple's Rewards card.  Filled out to "Mr. Strun Grants."

Let me clue you in for those that don't know our real names.  My husband's first and last name include the letter "V".  They do not include the letters "R", "U" nor "N" for his first name and "N" or "T"  for his last name.

I told him I was renaming him "Strun", because it sounds almost p*rno.  Sooo attractive. hee

Then, lucky me!

Seems the "American Association of Retired People" [AARP] thinks I am 50.  Or soon to be 50.

Um, not for another FIVE and a HALF YEARS.  I am 44.  I won't be 45 until September. Or 50 until 2016.

I know it makes my very AARP eligible husband laugh, but c'mon.

At least they got my name right, Strun.

We never got an AARP card & just depend on AAA for discounts.

AARP does have some really good discounts. We've used the eyecare and eyewear one and also the travel discount the last time we went to CT for hotel discount.

Very amusing. Didn't pooldad tell you of his alternative career prior to meeting you? I am sure I saw his pic on the cover of some 70's porn. not that I would have watched it hehe

Some wiseass put our address down as a business address for Filipo Leburdi. (Do you hear Flip the bird?)

We have no clue who did this but we get a chuckle every time we get junk mail from any number of sources in that name.

There is no need for them to rush you to 50!! It goes by fast enough without there help!

That is hilarious...the Strun part, I mean (not the AARP!).

We get mail addressed to one of our cats, but that is totally my fault because I deliberately used her name when ordering a magazine :-)

Bahahahaha. When my parents turned 50 they complained a little about getting older but they love the AARP magazines and such.

Strun? is that even a name! It does sound a bit porno right enough. I would not be impressed with the 50 yr old thing either, being the same agae as you!

That is SO funny!! "Strun" is an awesome and hilarious name. And it does sound like a you-know-what star or maybe even a pro wrestler. Heh heh.

Hey I got a premature AARP solicitation recently too! I wrote some very nasty things on it and sent it back in their postage paid envelope. I hope they get the message and leave me alone when the big day actually arrives, several years from now. If I want them for anything, I'll look them up!

My aunt started getting AARP stuff in her 40s too! I guess they think it's never too early to remind you they're around?
