If I Stay Up Any Longer

I am going to have a midnight snack [okay, okay 4 am snack] of cabbage rolls*.

That wouldn't be a good thing, would it?

Although. . . the whole "gaining weight" thing is working in my favor here.

Sigh. G'night!

*I made these for dinner last night.  I need to make these more often. Like everyday. Sooo good.

Hello there Skippy,
Just swinging by to wish you and yours a fantastic weekend. I'm still without internet at home, but will be back on track on Monday [yeyyy] that's when I will receive the new modem. I am using the computer at work during my lunch to visit/read some blogs. Wohoo on the gaining weight :)
Big hugs to you
Eva

Cabbage rolls at 4 am sound perfect! Much healthier than the cookies I'd have reached for. Consider it a late dinner rather than early breakfast.

Try to nap later maybe. Does that work?

Heh... my oh-dark-thirty snacks tend to be chips and/or cheese sticks and a soda, so cabbage rolls are definitely a much healthier alternative!! *mutters to self* I really need to keep some fruit around for snacking...

I love cabbage rolls and I think they would make a good snack no matter what time of day.

I wish I loved cabbage rolls, they look so good, but other than sauerkraut, not a fan.

It's definitely a great snack choice though! Sending big hugs your way Skip!

Hi Skippy. I've never had cabbage rolls before, but they must be good for you - right?! You need all the snacks you can to gradually put some weight back on. (Although come to think of it, perhaps that's not such a good idea, as you've just bought all those new clothes! Hee Hee!!). Take care my friend.

Ohhhhh, I haven't made cabbage rolls in years.... Grim and the monsters don't like them much. But I should make a pan and freeze them. Yep, gotta find some cabbage now... LoL!

Hmmm, I thought I heard a "barking cricket" the other night in the wee hours of the morning and wondered who could possibly be eating something gassy (for some) at that hour? I should have known it was you! ;-)

mmmm...those are my favorite too. When I would go to visit my grandma she would ask what I wanted her to make for dinner - always cabbage rolls, but she called them Gulumpkies. I think of her and her cooking lesson on how to make them everytime I make them. Fond memories:)

Cabbage rolls are good anytime. Eat 'em if you got 'em.

Gee, you should've been with us this weekend. We stayed up until 4:30 or later every night. (Sooooo much "catching up" to do!) You would've fit right in! (Especially if you like to play Scrabble.)

On the cabbage rolls, are you talking about the cabbage leaves stuffed with a ground beef and rice mixture, and simmered in a tomato-based sauce? If so, that's Polish, and one of my favorite dishes. Especially with a big mound of mashed potatoes. BUT, I'm not too sure I'd want to eat them at four o'clock in the morning. Actually, I might, but my stomach probably wouldn't approve. (But if it puts on some pounds, you eat 'em any time you'd like!)
