She is now a member of the honors Biology society at her university.
Freshmen year.
She was inducted last night.
We could not be more proud.

Congratulations Skippy and Pooldad...That is wonderful, fantastic and wayyyy cool. Good job Squirrel. I had just met Bruce when his baby did this too and he was elated, so I can only guess how proud you guys are. Love and hugs.

College life seems to have a lot more going on in the States than here. My daughter gets on the Dean's List and awarded scholarships for being amazing but I'm not aware of Honours societies or Sororities or anything "special" that she might strive to belong to. I was equally unaware when I did courses but I wasn't on campus much.

That is so exciting!! I can't wait until Hannah transfers to a 4 year school.
Sadly, while we thought we were saving $$ by having her get her gen eds out of the way at community college, most of the kids in her classes don't give a shit, don't show up, and are just plain lazy.
Happily my Hannah has a 3.9 GPA so far - so proud of both her and your Squirrel!!
