Angelina Jolie Lips

I haz them this morning.

Anyone who has ever met me or seen a picture of me [look at my side bar] will notice I do not have amazing lips. In fact, I have very, very thin lips.  My whole life people have commented on how thin my lips are.

No biggie.  Lipstick helps if I care to accentuate them - to tell you the truth I hardly ever thought about them.

Until this morning.

Seems I had an allergic reaction to something last night* and woke up with hives and really, super fat lips.  Angelina** with an extra dose of botox thrown in fat lips.  I have to tell you Tadpoles - I am seriously questioning how people who have big, voluptuous, pouty lips function.  I sound funny [like that guy in "Fat Albert"], I can't drink out of a cup and I am using a straw.  My lips are so swollen they are near about touching the tip of my nose.

[and no, you may not have a picture heehee]

They don't hurt. They just look weird and are kind of in the way.

Wouldn't it be nice if something had to swell it could've been my boobies instead?

*As close as we can figure the only thing I ate yesterday that I haven't eaten in almost a year is margarine.  I always have unsalted butter on my food but I had margarine, cheese and noodles for lunch and toast with margarine for dinner.  Everything else I had I eat all the time.  Have you ever heard of an allergic reaction to margarine?  Me either.

** I do think Ms. Pitt is a lovely woman and I am not making fun of people that are lippedly endowed.  And yes, I made up the word "lippedly".  Spellcheck hates me.

PS: I almost forgot! HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! Be safe and have fun.

Have a great one gang!  I am off to find some Benadryl. :)

I have pouty lips, however they are not swollen, when they are swollen it is hard to speak. But you sure are sexy!

You poor thing! I hate to say it, but could it maybe be a bug or spider bite?

Hope the benadryl helps (and a picture would have been nice!)

Hugs!

Skippy...Come on, one little itty bitty picture? Perhaps you got bitten somewhere and don't realize it yet? You sure don't need this. Benadryl is a blessing. I have learned to carry it with me at all times. Hugs!

How strange - and a kind of neat experience if it doesn't actually hurt. Is it an unusual margarine because if you've eaten restaurant food, I'm thinking margarine could have been included...

Perhaps it's a reaction to one of the oils used in production?

In the big lip camp here, but t's not hard to talk because they aren't swollen. I hope whatever it is you're allergic to is eliminated quickly.

You ARE a spoilsport Skippy, not posting a photo. It would probably have made our day as well. Hopefully, they will be more back to normal for you tomorrow. I have to really worry about allergic reactions, as I am anaphylactic, but it can be the least little thing sometimes. Really strange. Take care.

I did laugh at this post, imagining you with thick pouty lips and them getting in the way. Probably my imagination is making them more funny that the actual reality but hey that's my perogative!

Now that I have stopped laughing....poor you, hope it calms down soon. I am sure Pooldad thinks he has his very own Angelina! Tee hee hee

So I almost snorted coffee out my nose when I read the following, "Wouldn't it be nice if something had to swell it could've been my boobies instead?"

lol

:) I hope the swelling goes down soon and you can eat/drink/talk properly again.

I remember when I was younger I would suction cup cups to my face and that was one way my lips would get super swollen. But they hurt so...I kinda of know what you're going through.

Maybe Angelina's lips are an allergic reaction too. I've gone off her now!

Wow, Skippymom! I've NEVER heard of an allergic reaction to margarine... are you sure that's what it is, and not possibly some other type of odd reaction to something? Don't ask me what, but usually (speaking from personal experience) food allergies don't make your lips get puffy without some other much less desirable symptoms, such as swelling in the mouth and tongue and throat... Anyways, I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Once my lips swelled after drinking lemonade. No idea what was in the stuff.

Umm, maybe you could just rub the margarine on your boobies to make them swell?

:running away now:

When my kids were little I used to make up stories and one of their favorites was my story of Elvira, a woman who would see people on TV with physical attributes that she wished for, and then got, and then realized how inconvenient they were. (Elvira had to go to a witch doctor to get back to normal each time, which led to madcap adventures.)Because it was the '90s I used Cher as the big-lipped star that Elvira admired. This was before Angelina Jolie and that soap opera lady who's married to Harry Hamlin. Elvira stories would be SO much better now!

Ouch, swollen lips. Yikes, I wonder what you are allergic too? That's not a good reaction. Hope the benadryl helped. LOL on the boobies comment...right?

I think you need to give those lips a chance. Hold off on the Benadryl for a day or two. I bet by Monday you're adopting babies from Africa and making out with Brad Pitt....what? Angelina did it to Jennifer. Turnabout is fair play!

OMG! How funny (sorry for you and your discomfort), but upon reading this, my immediate reaction was "Don't you just want to lick her lips and stick her to the wall?"! This was Robin Willams comment about Angelina in the movie "Man of the Year". I've never been able to forget it! Thanks for sharing and DO accept my sincerest sympathy!

If you do find an allergic reaction (other than pregnancy) that makes boobs swell, you'll be a millionaire.
