....And the View Ain't Too Bad Either

Here is what I am looking at right now from my perch in my Mom's kitchen.
Then when I walk out on her back porch I see this:
And this:
The view is simply gorgeous.
It overlooks the ninth green of the community's golf course.

We made it to South Carolina in one piece - but it was a dang long trip.  What should've been 7 hours took almost 10 because Pooldad had to drive through torrential rain almost the entire trip.  When we arrived we were surprised by my lovely sister who had brought us Cracker Barrel.  Yum!

Then we fell [literally] into bed and slept.

Today is going to be a big day - so much to do, but it is a great day to do it.
Hope you all are having a great start to your week!

So glad you got there safely, but must have been very tiring for Pooldad, driving in all that rain. What a wonderful view, and I love the little white picket fence!

How I envy you! Not all the work but the springtime! I wonder every winter why my ancestors settled here instead of the Caribbean.

North & South Carolina are both very pretty states and if you came down I95 you passed within 3 miles of my place near Roanoke Rapids. Hope you got some good rest and have a super week.

You picked a good time to come back to SC! We've had great weather lately, though I don't think this week is supposed to be as warm as last week. It's definitely beautiful here though. By the way, my parents have a golf course right behind their house, too.

Yay for safe trips and happy times with family! Trees are my favorite thing from nature. I love the beauty of trees. :)

Hey SkippyMom! As a lifelong South Carolinian here's to hoping that it's going to be beautiful weather, fun times and wonderful memories! I think maybe I can stop any disgusting torrential downpours or horrific humidity for a few days while you're here.
Enjoy and make it back home safe!

Ug, I hate driving in the rain! Glad you made it safely, and my word, what a gorgeous view you have.

Happy belated b-day to your baby (and I don't care how old they are - they are still our babies, right?!)

Have a wonderful day!
