Hiya!

See?? I'm still here!
And still smiling. :)

This is my last busy, busy weekend at home before the next round of specialists, tests and treatments begin on Monday.

If you can't tell from the pics, I am a wee bit worn out and tired, but in attempt to show my Momma [who is is in perpetual worry mode] that I am "making the effort" I tried to take a pic' of my hair and my dress. I thought I did a pretty good job [with my hair, not the pic' - argh. I suck at picture taking] but once I pulled the pics up to email her I thought "Meh. Not so much."  Try, try, try as I might I am stuck at 97 lbs. Soooo, I have decided to be happy about it, rock this stick-girl body and as long as I don't scare small children and dogs everything will be just  fine and dandy. heehee  More new clothes for me!

I am especially glad for this weekend because tonight we will pay the bills, stock the house with food and goodies and finish with a relaxing meal of homemade pizza.  I think we are going to rent "War Horse" too.   Tomorrow we pick up Squirrel at school  - YAY! - and she is home for the summer. That is the best part of the weekend [of course. :)] Tomorrow night we will celebrate "Cinco de Mayo" with delicious Mexican food and the neighbor's [illegal] fireworks display. Love it! Sunday we are going to visit the girls' Great Grandma.  She requested I bring her favorite lunch of Chicken and Dumplings and chocolate/chocolate cupcakes. I have to admit that may be my favorite meal too.

I hope y'all had a wonderful week and will have a fantastic weekend filled with family, friends, food and fun.

We'll see ya' on the flipside Tadpoles. Take care.

Oh, War Horse is great!
But make sure you have tissues - you will have leaky eyes!!!!

Hope you enjoy War Horse, but, yes, make sure you have the tissues handy, and don't forget to look out for that wonderful scenery, which is just 10 minutes from where I live. Love that pink dress and your hair looks really great! So good to see these photos of you today my friend. I agree, don't worry about the weight. Just rock your new looK! Mmmm! Great grandma's meal does sound absolutely scrummy I must say. Enjoy your lovely weekend, and I am so happy that Squirrel is now back with you for the summer. That will lift your spirits! Hugs from across the pond x

Sorry, forget to wish you good luck with your next round of tests and treatments next week. Will be thinking of you.

I love the color of your dress. It looks like the collar hanging near you in the first picture is a good match. Did you just give us a glimpse into your personal life? I haven't read 50 Shades of Gray (Grey?) but understand there is a lot of kinky stuff going on in it. Does that include the wearing of dog collars?

I really don't get that, but if you're going to do that, having one that matches your dress is very classy.

And sassy. Just like you and me. Hehehehehe!

Enjoy Squirrel for the summer. I know you've moved her home before but no one warned me how much stuff they have when they get back. It looks like a box/bag explosion in my dining room and her room is a disaster. She decided to clean her closet out so she could put her clothes in. The entire floor was covered knee deep.

I was just thinking about you today and now I have heard from you twice :)
I thought for sure you were showing us this dress so you could show us rhinestones in various places :) Haha.
You look great, it's a good color on you!
I am sending positive thoughts and love...always.
Go soak up some of the moon rays on Saturday night- they are healing sometimes :)

Love ya!

Excellent color, but NO CRYING! It will make you lose more weight and get puffy in all the wrong places.

:)

I wish I had some time, and you lived closer. I would make you a dress that you would just love. :)

Enjoy your weekend Skip.

Gorgeous colour on you and your hair looks great. Being thin you can wear much nicer stuff than this old fatty. Enjoy the weekend and start of a great summer because you are going to get better. Hope your treatments go well next week too and you don't get all the bad side effects.

I love your pink dress! Very cute! I think your hair looks great, too. I generally hate messing with my hair so it usually just flops around.

I've been wanting to make homemade pizza for a couple weeks now, so I'm jealous! Plus, I just saw a recipe for homemade mostly whole wheat crust that you mix up in the morning and then just leave until you're ready to use it...sounds like a great recipe :)

Wow, Squirrel is out of school already?

You look beautiful btw. Sending strength to you for the round of treatment.

Here's to a special summer with all your chicks back in the nest. Pink is a good color on you, but with your sunny disposition, I'm thinking yellow might be even better. Happy weekend!

I think you look great in that dress!

I still have not been brave enough to rent War Horse. I'll await your review.

TGIS! Have a good weekend, Skippy.

Looking good, beautiful! That dress is almost the exact same shade of pink that *L* has been trying to talk me into wearing for the entire four years we've been together... I absolutely abhor pink :-P Mostly because I don't think it looks good on me, but it certainly does on you!

Haven't seen War Horse yet, but it's definitely on my summer watching list. Let me know what you think!

@Knitty: Yeah, I'm into that "kinky stuff", and I'll be honest. "50 Shades of Gray" was mild. VERY mild. (And dog collars are perfectly acceptable substitutes for the much more expensive "lifestyle" collars ;) )

Yes, I'm weird.

Love ya, "big sis"!!

To me you look beautiful :) You will love War Horse but tissues are definitely a must! I loved that film. That meal sounds yummy and I wish I could be there to taste it.

Hope the tests go all right and that they are not too invasive or painful, we can deal with anything as long as there is no pain!!!

Think of you often, keep smiling hunni xxxx

No matter how old you get, your Momma still worries.

I love your smile in the first picture though! Hooray for Squirrel being home for the summer - I know that will be like a breath of fresh air to you.

HUGS!!!! I am making homemade pizza tonight on Cinco de Mayo!

Sending good thoughts to you for the next round of treatment, you look great in the pink (a color I adore but cannot wear without looking par-boiled). And having Squirrel home for the summer, how great!

I completely suck playing with hair so I admire anyone who can pull it up and make it look cute.

Hope you get happy reports from the docs.
