I Am Starting to Think The Twilight Zone Theme Music is The Soundtrack of My Life

Okay. Weird.

Today is my deceased, first [ex] husband's 41st birthday. He has been dead for 3 years. Okay. Fine. Noted.

Well, come to find out [today] that Pooldad's ex-wife is also, now, dead. Seems she took her own life two weeks ago. She was 53.

What is it with people we used to be married to? Oh and why did they both overdose? Her's was intentional with prescriptions and Sr.'s was accidental with illegal drugs.

Sigh.

Life is a little odd being married for this long and knowing between the two of us we are the single parents of four [FOUR!] kids [two each] and the step parents to children that are missing at least one of their parents. [For the count remember the youngest is ours together and my first child was only with me for 3 days after her birth - so yes, we do have six]

How the hell does this happen?

Oh, and the kids and Pooldad have the swine flu. I am posting from the closet. See you in a week ;)

That is unusual - maybe not 100 years ago but it sure is now.

Jeannie I get your point kind of - yes the life expectancy was lower 100 years ago, but these two killed themselves - on purpose - they don't curve the statistics on life expentancy.

So I understand where you are coming from, but it doesn't apply here.

Thanks for the comment tho'.

That's a tough blow for the kids.

Hang in there with the sick folk. I'm working on those socks!

You're right...weird.

And the dreaded swine flu, so sorry to hear that. You better be wearing a mask in that closet.

Hard for the kids to know that one of their parents was so unhappy that they took their own life. You're right. It is an episode of the twilight zone!

Wear a mask around those sick ones.... or maybe this will render you immune....just a thought

It's sad when a person can't/won't appreciate life. Because for the most part, it's a big old wonderful world.

Hope the family feels better soon... use lots and lots of hand sanitizer!

heavens, I don't even know what to say! all that and the flu too??
oh dear, I need to send you a special delivery to your closet! you need wine, clorox wipes, and sanitizer, and wine, and chocolate, and wine, and fat quarters (they fit better in small spaces) and maybe, could you use some wine?
