Watching It Snow

Had a great post with a lot of good news all written, but my computer is being cranky. Remind me not to try to type without my glasses on while the computer genius, Wallene, is fast asleep. I must've hit a few keys accidently and presto chang-o I can't edit that post in order to publish it.

Ah well. We are experiencing one of Virginia's own special treats. A March snowstorm. Sigh.  As much as I love the snow and the bonus of everyone being home with me today, even Pooldad! YAY!, I am sort of, kind of, over winter.  And we haven't even had snow until now. I just want green now and not the St. Patrick's Day green - but the grass and tree green. Everything is so brown. And now white. Bleech.

So. . .I will count my blessings, which are many, and enjoy a free day with the family.  Hope any of y'all that are getting hit with this stay warm, with power and enjoy it for what it gives us.

A well deserved day off.

Enjoy your Wednesday Tadpoles. We'll see ya' on the flipside. xo Skippy

I'm jealous! I'd much rather have snow than this yucky rain we are beginning to get!
For us it sounds like no chance of a day off here... would've been nice as my chicks are home for spring break :(

And you get the bonus of an extra special person at home. Sounds like a good blessing day.

Is there another storm on the way? It's way too early for spring here although I'm usually ready for it in November. Are power outages normal for you with a snowstorm? Besides that small one a month or so ago from some accident taking out a transformer, the only power outage from a winter storm I remember happened when I was maybe 17. We lived up north then and there was a wicked storm which snowed us in and knocked out the power. We had to cut a hole in the ice on the lake for water, cook on the bbq and curl up in front of a fire that didn't heat much of anything.
I made a long comment yesterday but my playbook ate it and I thought I'd do it again on my computer but I never got there.

No snow here but after teasing us with an early spring, it keeps getting cold. Nights in the 30s. Enough already. Doesn't mean I'm ready for summer though.

Singing a different tune now, are ya? Not too long ago, you were saying how much you wished it would snow. Enough's enough? Yep, I think you, and a lot of other people, are FULL. We even had a dusting of snow here this morning. My little red car looked like it had patches of lace on it. Didn't last long, but it's unusually cold for here. I'm done. Come on, spring!!! (Lots of flowers already blooming here, and trees are covered with blossoms and leaf buds.) 12:34
