Truth Is Thursday. . .

Truth is . . . rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Truth is . . . I had a pretty bad episode three weeks ago and I am still working out recovering.

Truth is . . . this means I spend a good portion of my day, in bed, only getting up to eat.

Truth is . . . heating pads, Tylenol and popsicles are my new best friends. :D

Truth is . . . trying to get through this without the benefit of medical care or health insurance is wearisome, but what are we going to do?  Can't pay with money we don't have.

Truth is . . . I am tired of being chronically ill. I try, I do, to stay positive, but sometimes I wish it was the flu or a cold - where there would be an end to it eventually.

Truth is . . . I am done whining.  And I want to thank you all for the nice emails and cards wondering where the heck I got off to - I figured I better post something before I had a Tadpole posse out hunting for me. heehee

Hope you have a wonderful week and if you don't see me around it is only because it is impossible to type while flat on my back in bed.

Hugs to y'all!

only 1 post in a week and a half? Who do U think you are, ME?

Oh man. But heating pads AND popsicles?

No health insurance is why I've always been terrified of living in the USA. It's hardly fair that the rich can easily get insured while the rest are up the creek unless they have the right job. Wish there was something I could do to help out. You go ahead and whine if it helps. Life is unfair.

So glad you posted today. I was worried.

Tadpole Posse! LOL I was ready to send one out. I hate to hear that you've been laid out. Fn chronic illness sucks big time. If you need a Tadpole hug, I'm here for ya. Thanks for letting us know you are still swimming in the pond. (Even if your fins are upside down!)

Hi Skippy. I did make a comment earlier this morning, but I can't see it here, so, just in case it has got lost in the stratosphere, I will type another one!! I can't tell you how pleased I was to see this post from you, as I was starting to get seriously worried my friend. I would be right behind Teresa in that Posse. I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time of it at the moment, and my heart really does go out to you. It really sucks having an illness like that, and you certainly don't deserve it. Sending hugs and healing thoughts your way. Chin up! xx

I was missing you! Hope you are back to your old self soon. I know what you mean about that health insurance. I have to be really sick before I venture in to the clinic. Then I worry that they will order some expensive diagnostic procedure ..... then I worry that something could really be wrong and I will miss it and it will only get worse. Round and round I go.

I may not have e-bugged you, but you are on my mind. I wish there was a way I could help you all out of this dark forest, but all I can do is put you in the hands of God.Write when you can.

I thought something was up! In the few times I have popped into Blogger, I noticed your absence. So glad that you are recovering and I wish too that it was only a cold or flu you were going through.

I thought you had run off with Justin Bieber and were helping him ward off that paternity claim, but then I figured your daughters would have been mortified.

Maybe you were in audience at the debate of Republican candidates in my home state a few days ago. Did you distract Rick Perry and make him forget what the third federal department he would dispose of if elected? Three of them is a lot to remember. (rolling eyes)

Oh, I know! You've been busy hacking into Blogger and causing things not to work as they should for me! Shame on you!

If your secret life doesn't agree with my fanciful scenarios, then please accept my apologies, have a little spiked coffee with me and know that I truly, sincerely hope you feel better soon.

I just pictured a bunch of tadpoles trekking to find you.THAT just made my day. Hope you feel better, Skippy. I've been off the grid somewhat, so I wasn't aware that you were having a bad spell. Thinking of you....
