Narrowing it Down Nicely

The Good News? Okay: I don't have renal failure and my liver looks lovely. My thyroid is a site to behold and my white blood counts are perfectly on tonic.

The Bad News: Here I sit at 5:50 am in the hosspeetal where they have come to the conclusion that I have Congestive Heart Failure [CHF] AND [hey you didn't think my body was going to be dull did you? I scoff at you ;D] AND, AND [it's a big AND tadpoles.....]

I am having a biopsy done under anestathia for Cancer. And I hit the trifecta too - Colon or Breast or gynecollogical! How's dems' apples.? Or should I say how's dems Canzars? LOL

On a funnier side - I had Dialud [sp?] a painkiller for the first time last night. WEEHAW -mixed with the Ativan I was dozing asleep mid sentence and then waking up, forgetting where I was and thinking I was holding "court" with Royalty - and people wonder why I don't take prescription meds? Hehee [Hardest part was they gave it to me around 3 pm and it wore off around 10 pm - Now I am awake, awake.

I am currently on my sixth pint of blood [in one day] for a blood transfusion and let me just say - this stuff is high octane. I have so much more strength and color. People have been commenting - which makes me feel good.

So far we have only told the kids and my mil. The Porcupine is handling it well, the Squirrel is playing a keen game of avoidance [as to be expected] and I think I worried my poor mother in law into 2011 because I am going to be fine. Right?

ConnieMom - Don't you worry. I am going to be fine. I am going to be just fine.

The Lupus caused congestive heart failure in my mother upteen years ago. I little steroids for a bit, and it's all good. Just like it will be for you.

I would give you a big ole hug, but I know that it can be physically uncomfortable. That and I am a little too far away for such things.

OMG, Skip. You are going to be fine. Love you hun.

Those apples suck, but you are made of tough stuff. Dilaudid is some potent stuff, too, but maybe you just need a dose adjustment.

Hang in there, Skippy.

Well, gosh Skippy. You will be fine. But what's with the transfusion?

It's good to hear that you will be fine. :) We all figured that anyway. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I was going to say that I hope the hospital food isn't too bad, but after this low-sodium diet of yours, can it get much worse? ;)

Hey Skippy girl. It is so good to hear from you. Like the others that have voiced their love and support, I am sure that you ARE going to be fine. What a nasty bunch of cards you were dealt on this hand. We'll just reshuffle and keep a positive attitude about your hospital stay. Be strong, Skipppy Do Rah Day. XXOO ((((hugs)))) until next time

Man, you don't mess around with the little stuff, do you? Oh no, you have to go with the BIG STUFF!

Howsomever, you will indeed be fine because you have the love and support of umpteen people both at home and over the innernets. It sounds like you are getting some good care (and DRUGS!) there at the horspital so hang in there.

Love ya, babe!

Holding court, eh? Sounds like you are an entertaining 'druggie'. My SIL is like that. Too funny.
I am sad to hear about the challenges; you'll be just fine. =) The attitude goes a long way and your's seems to be just fine.

Damnitalltohell... that blows chunks in a big way! Makes my little ole problems seem so teeny tiny in comparison.

I'm in agreement with the others that you will be fine and kick some butt. My husband has CHF and takes Lasix for it. As long as his fluid level stays down, he's pretty good.

Dilaudid is some great stuff!

Hugs and prayers coming your way!

You are going to overcome this. You will be fine.

you will be fine! I hold the same mentality when I'm sick - my thoughts are with you! You are an such a positive inspiration - and hey! Maybe with your low sodium diet you get better hospital food? Just like when you get kosher on an airplane!
