Am I Weird?

Don't answer that.  And you can stop nodding your head now.

I think I may be a little strange because even though the cable guy came today [Verizon for the win!] and we now have internet and cable TV I have yet to turn the TV on since I woke up this morning.

In fact, I forgot we even had it.

I am a girl who likes her some television Tadpoles but we have not had it for six months. That has been a long time to go without news, football, SNL and Ellen :) - let me tell you. Still,  I think I might like the quiet even more.  I have been sitting here for a few hours reading blogs, surfing and whatnot while contemplating whether or not I should turn it on.

It just seems like "Must see TV" isn't such a must anymore.  To me anyway.

Anything I missed these past six months?  Any suggestions on new shows I should watch?  I have over 200 channels that I don't even know where to begin.

Perhaps that is the reason I don't turn it on - the intimidation factor. :D

Happy Christmas Eve gang!  See you on the flip side.  Hugs and love!

I must be weird too. Since discovering facebook and blogging I hardly ever really sit and watch TV. I will admit to a couple of fave programs I try not to miss but often I wont even remember to set the recorder if I am going out. I guess these days I can always go online if I have missed something important

I don't watch a lot of TV but every evening after work I must see Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune. Other than that my favorite thing is either a cooking show or QVC. Every sunday afternoon from 12 to 3 it is "In the kitchen with David" and I love watching demonstrations of neat cooking gadgets and stuff. Hope that helps.

Ever since I've had internet, I guess I'm not all that interested in television myself...sometimes I need to make a conscious effort to switch it on once in a while...happens, I guess...

Weird? You? Nahhh. hehehe

Whether you have 100 or 500 channels TV just sucks today. And the money you pay for suck TV is ridicilous. They get ya one way or the other.

We end up watching Nature programs or Netflix movies. Sad huh?

glad you are back in the mix. I don't watch TV so no help from me. The last thing I watched without fail was Lost and I was so disgusted with the ending that I don't think I will ever invest that much time in a TV show again. Usually I have a book in my lap when the TV is on. though I did watch The Princess Bride last night, one of my favs.

Nah, not weird, I think it's nice :)
Me? I have to have sound, always been that way. Even if I am in the other room on the computer, I have the tv on for background noise!

I don't have cable, so we watch news, the wheel, and Thursday night nbc shows. Other than that it's netflix lol, so I have no advise for you on what to watch. I do miss my Forensic Files though!
(maybe I'm the one that's weird?)

No, you're not that weird. It's good to break free of the norms once in awhile.

Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family!

I'm an Internet junkie. There are two shows I HAVE to watch (Grey's Anatomy and House) and a couple shows I DVR so I have them taped if I'm bored/not feeling well (The Simpsons, The Soup, The Dish). I can't STAND reality shows! You're probably better off hanging out with us on the web :)

Merry (late) Christmas Skippy!
