'Cause All the Fun Moms Say Yes

It's beginning to get a little biblical here.

Except instead of it raining for 40 days and 40 nights - we are approaching 75 days of rain, with only 2 out of the 75 being sunshiney.

That's some serious rain Tadpoles.

So when my daughter asked me if she could take a shower in the rain I said "Sure. Why not?"

Of course Steven thinks we're both nuts.

But what else are you going to do with this much flippin' rain?

Have a lil' fun I say!

TA-DA

Yes. Mom took the pic'.
I know.
Not as good as Wallene's,
but you get the idea.

Next up? We're building an ark.  'Cause I think we're going to need one.

Have a great one Tadpoles. Thanks so much for everything. See ya' on the flipside. xo Janine

P.S. After reading the comments - yes it would be a great water saving idea, but we're on a well. That I am pretty sure is never going to run dry at this point. hee

Using the rain cuts down on the water bill. Although it may not be as warm as a good shower.

Actually, that was a pretty cool pic, what with the framing rain specks and all.

And if you think about it, with a little MORE rain, maybe you guys could get a houseboat or a pontoon and float back to civilization...

Hell, why not use all that water instead of the shower!

Wish WE had even some of that rain....looks like we may be going on four years of summer drought.

I think rain water is soft, so your skin and hair are better off being showered in the rain than in treated water.

I love that the rain drops look like bubbles on the camera lens. I remember as a kid taking a shower in the rain at the cottage. I don't know why but my mother never made us take showers inside all summer long. She says we spent all day in the lake so we shouldn't have needed a shower but I'm pretty sure my hair got pretty cruddy. It's only looking back that I feel neglected though.

I love the "when life gives you lemons" attitude!

Oh, how cute! When I was a kid, we'd wash my father's car when it rained. Next time, let her wash Oscar for ya. 12:34

Keep to a timetable for most extreme excellence advantage. You don't need to plan everything, except you do need to plan your suppers. Studies have indicated that individuals who are predictable with their schedules concerning nourishment and drink, look years more youthful, and live more, than individuals who are sporadic with their eating times.
