Because Pepto Bismal Pink Is Just As Sexy in 2011 As It Was in 1991

Jr and Momma, 1991
[the eggs on the floor are plastic]
No comments about how I paired this with turquoise.
Completely ahead of my time. ahem.
I even color coordinated the kid.
Scooby and Momma, 2011
Evidently I liked this outfit.
This time I paired it with yellow.
Who knew that was a fashion statement in 1991.
Wow. eek.
Still wearing it.
Now! With the added fashion statement of  legwarmers.
Please.
Don't be jealous.
Yes. That is the same sweat suit in all four pictures. [It looks brighter in the later pictures because of the camera quality. 1991 - Disposable/2011 - Digital]  The dang thing is over 20 years old.  In fact, my Mom gave it to me when I came home from the hospital when Natalie was born a few years before the pics of me and Jr were taken.

I can't tell by the tag who made it [that actually DID fade], but I can assure you, if I knew, I would be buying a whole lot more of their stuff.

Although, these days, I don't wear it out of the house like years before.

I simply don't need the paparazi following me.

You understand. I am sure.

heehee

  7. Forget the suit - I want the pantry!

I would not fit in anything I wore in 1991. But I think I might still have a pair of sweats around that I used first to wear and then to paint in. I do intend to fit into them again.

I think I had a similar fuchsia sweat suit just after the twins were born. I managed to get rid of it. The pink and turquoise were pretty big in the eighties.

  9. My mom has these shifts that she has for around the around and bed time and if she needs to go out for errands and such she gets dressed up. For a long time some of those shifts were older than me, but they wore out and so they got tossed and replaced. I like what momma wears. :)

  12. First of all- I am majorly jealous that you can still wear stuff from 20 years ago. Hubby is like that- can still fit into stuff her wore in college...(what is it with you people!?)
    Second- I agree- GREAT pantry!
Personally I like turquoise with hot pink- they look good together!
    :D

  13. Hey, if you are going to recreate photos, you needed to have Scooby on your lap. (Yeah, like THAT'S going to happen if you want to breathe!)

Second--woot on the long lasting sweats and pink with turquoise.

Third. Made the enchiladas last night. Major hit! Thanks, Wallene!

word vert: banne. The Beast is currently the banne of my existence. Or maybe it's Patches.

  17. hehe. Love it. I've had this one certain sweatshirt since 1990. It was laying around lonely at my Aunti's house and no one claimed it, so I sewed up the hole in the arm and have been wearing it ever since. 21 years, yo!
